Road access to The Denmark:
Easy access from many major routes.
A23 from London join A27 to junction with A2033 to Hove and follow
signs to Hove Station (as below).
A27 from West pass A23 junction then up hill to A2023 junction to
Hove. Follow signs to Hove, 3rd exit on roundabout.
Down hill the take signed slip road to the left. Straight through
traffic lights and 1st left after passing under the railway line
and follow signs to Hove Station..
A27 from the East exit at junction with A293 signposted Hove.
Slip road drops downhill and turns right under the Bypass. Follow
this road straight over two roundabouts then take the left hand
slip at the traffic lights onto the Old Shoreham
Road, A270. Follow A270 pas the cemetery and through the 30mph
limit. Pass over one set of traffic lights and take the outside
lane at the next major set of traffic lights, adjacent Furniture
Village.
Turn right at Sackville Rd then 1st left after passing under the
railway line, following signs for Hove Station.
A259 along the sea front until Queen Victoria's statue, opposite
the end of Hove Lawns. Turn inland at Traffic Lights, Grand Avenue
becomes The Drive. Go straight ahead at next 2 sets of traffic lights,
(Church Rd and Eaton Rd)
turn left at next traffic lights, Cromwell Road, following signs for Hove
Station. At the mini roundabout turn right and we are on the
right, just before the Esso Garage and next to Tesco Express.
Parking Information for Denmark Sauna:
There is no forecourt parking except on Sundays
outside Nationwide. Please do not park outside Tesco.
More and more streets now have Residents only
Parking Bays and Pay and Display Bays where you will need a ticket
until 8pm, so take care where you
park. £30 Penalty tickets are awarded to the unwary and late
leavers, so beware.
Pay and Display ON ROAD Parking, usually 2hrs maximum but there
are some 11 hour bays!
Hove Villas, along right hand side
Eaton Villas, both sides
Cromwell Road, both sides until traffic lights junction The Drive.
Goldstone Villas, adjacent shops.
Denmark Villas, both sides between Eaton Villas and Eaton Road.
Eaton Gardens, both sides between Eaton Villas and Eaton Road.
Newton Road is partially commercial, between Old Shoreham Rd and
Fonthill Rd.
These roads are all residential, so be considerate and discrete.
Hove Park Villas,
Hartington Villas,
Ranleigh Villas,
Wilbury Avenue,
Wilbury Gardens.
Access to Denmark Villas is via a pedestrian footbridge over the
Railway lines,
adjacent to Hove Station at the bottom of Hove Park Villas.
Parking is also available on streets behind The
Station pub, and around the Bus Depot, with pedestrian access by
steps beside the Station pub.
Car park and Multi Storey Parking:
Hove Railway Station (free on Sundays)
Norton road Multi-storey, opposite Hove Town Hall.
Taxi Ranks:
Goldstone Villas opposite Hove Station.
Goldstone Villas opposite Bus stops and Woolworth's.
Norton Road adjacent Hove Town Hall and opposite Multi story
car park.
Trains:
Trains from London, the South Coast and the remainder of the Rail
network,
can all be accessed from Hove (and more frequently Brighton and
catch No7 bus). On leaving Hove Station turn left and walk across
from the Esso Petrol Station and you we see The Denmark directly
in front of you.
Buses:
Frequent services throughout Brighton and Hove pass close to The
Denmark.
No.7 (24 hours) stops at Hove Station and Cromwell Rd.
No.5 stops at the top of Tisbury Rd/Blatchington Rd.
Other services stop by the Town Hall in Church Rd.
